It's been a huge little while for EA Games after reporting record-breaking FIFA sales while using the launch of its brand new 2017 edition - along with retailers selling out with seconds online and about the high street.
But now angry buyers have taken to social media to talk about their fury, after one retailer reportedly cancelled orders using a PS4 FIFA 17 pack deal - and one more is accused of not honouring the offer at all.
A number of grievances arrived from GAME shoppers - the location where the PS4 Sony console together with Cheap Fifa Coins PS game and a two month unlimited NOW TV movie pass was available for £150.
But just hours soon after purchasing this deal on the net, some customers said that they had their orders cancelled, despite the retailer transmitting out confirmation emails as well as delivery details.
One extremely disappointed customer said their deal ended up being cancelled by GAME -- and later offered £20 off the full price £249 bunch instead - that's £80 greater than the original cost.
Over the weekend, a number of PS4 enthusiasts took to deals weblog HotUKDeals to air their disbelief above the situation.
User Inkedshell wrote that they received an email to state their order had been recently cancelled, less than 24-hours after placing the order.
"I managed to get my order with this accepted at 2pm these days but after seeing most of these oos (sold-out) msgs I am worried Used to do something wrong or my order is going to be cancelled, " the user composed.
Another member replied: "If you got the nowtv digital code i quickly don't think it'll be cancelled. Fingers crossed", to which Inkedshell confirmed they'd received the code.
But all was seemingly not fine.
Just one day after, Inkedshell reported: "Mines been cancelled but offered £20 from the £249 bundle".
User Gordonator spoke to your customer services adviser via online chat and published: "To paraphrase, my order is at present in payment authorisation, and I can expect it to be completed shortly.
"I then questioned if the item would still be around given that it's now out of stock on the site and they said it ought to be fine, and to expect a dispatch today or tomorrow. "
Colinnicklen3 added: "Got an email yesterday to say mine had been dispatched but just got an additional email today to say it is often cancelled but offered an alternative more expensive option. Very poor!
"I can't understand what sort of 'shipped' order can end up being cancelled! "
Jamesdzackon added: "So they took my money, cancelled the order, gave me a £20 off code for the bundle that is far more expensive, then say that is is going to take TEN WORKING DAYS for you to refund my £150 fut 17 coins. I never agreed to giving them a two week interest-free bank loan. "
